Welcome

I am very excited to be inviting you to join The Norwood School’s Sixth Form, where we offer an innovative, creative and exciting post-16 experience. You will be learning in familiar surroundings with imaginative and creative staff who know you and are aware of your potential and value of your success.

We take a great deal of pride and care in designing a curriculum that provides a number of pathways for students to choose. From STEM subjects, Humanities specialists, Visual and Performing Arts, Business and Enterprise to Sports & Leisure; our pathways are deliberately designed to allow students to specialise as well as combine subjects that complement each other. The quality of teaching and learning is “Good” (last year 99% of students passed Level 3 qualifications) and the pastoral care and focus on personalised learning has led to excellent results and success with a quarter of our students gaining places at Russell Group universities.

As a Specialist Performing and Visual Arts School, we are developing a lifelong passion for the arts in our students and are nurturing the next generation of artists, dancers, actors, designers, musicians and journalists. Some of our most successful subjects have been the arts subjects with their practical and creative approach to teaching and learning.

Our Sixth Form enables us to build upon this success and to provide a range of academic and vocational courses which offer clear progression routes for those of you who wish to continue your studies in both the arts and other careers and, by choosing Norwood Sixth Form, you will be learning in familiar surroundings with imaginative and creative staff who know you as a person, are aware of your potential and value your success.

I take great pride in saying that the Norwood Sixth Form is a community which values all students and aims to “Create Success” together.
